We have all been there. The first performance in front of a large group of people is terrifying. I don't do a lot of shows, but I remember my first several, and not because they went well. It took me several times to begin to be even remotely comfortable while people watched my every move. After several terrible shows I participated in a talent show where I felt I had finally done a good job, in large part because I was finally starting to gain a little bit of control over my nerves. I was still terrified, but I no longer let that feeling take over.
