the whole routine (in my completely biased opinion) is sloppy, and doesn't know what its doing. the first part is fine, kinda, but the part where you put it in face up, just odd. from the angle i could see the card several times, and i couldn't tell if i should see the card or not. oh, and when you go to your pocket, you did an excellent job of hiding the card, but as an idea, just pull it out of your pocket in one go. that way people say "but he never went to his pocket" otherwise they will immediately think you dumped it there when you went to it twice. overall, just polish it and practice it.

I'm just going to be blunt with you, so don't take this as me being rude or mean, I'm just trying to tell you what I saw from my perspective and hopefully you learn to grow as a magician from the constructive feedback that you receive. First off, turn that crappy music off in the background and actually speak to the camera as if you were performing for a spectator. Not only will this help with your practice, but also with real world performances. It also makes the viewer more interested in the performance. Also, next time you post a video, keep it at chest level! Get a cardboard box if you have to or buy a cheap desk from Ikea. Watching your angles is very important in magic.

Now onto the routine itself. Frankly, your sleights need a lot of work, as well as your ambitious card routine. I suggest that you buy the new version of Born to Perform Card Magic with Oz Pearlman to help improve your sleights, as well as give you a great ACR. When you have mastered that material, get Extremely Ambitious by Jay Sankey for more ACR ideas.

I honestly had no idea what the heck I was watching with your video. You need to stop fiddling with the deck so much and trying to look 'hard' for the camera with the flicking and twirling of the cards. It doesn't look flashy, it just looks sloppy.

Just to give you an idea of what a proper Ambitious Card Routine is supposed to look like, view the videos below and learn from them. Keep practicing and don't give up. Work on your ACR and other sleights and keep posting videos. People will give you feedback and it will give you an idea of what to work on. Good luck!

That is about a billion times better than the video you originally posted. I even had to go back and watch the first part, that is a really nice pass! Only a few minor critiques this time. The music thing again, but that's personal preference, but I was actually entertained by watching this video, so the music didn't really take away too much. The reversed card turn over flashed a bit, so I'd work on your angles for that move. Last, but not least, using the thumb to get a break. Maybe work on a strike double or show that card isn't on top and get a break that way or just a good old fashion pinky count.

Great job otherwise man! It's a lot easier for me to point stuff out on a video, because I can just watch parts over again, but In the real world, I would have missed a few things. The only main things I watched from only watching once straight through was the thumb break and the partial flash on the reversed card I mentioned, otherwise great performance.
