Magic is a great art form, and as well is music, when you combine the two you get a trick that compliments music and music that compliments a trick, there's countless routines and tricks that you can go completly silent for or you can choose to play music, for instance TnR by Mathieu Bich is one of the most amazing torn and restored card effects insted of talking i'll take out my ipod and play a song, i have chosent my songs for my effects because i like them, alot of the times it has nothing to do with an effect for example when i do TnR i play American By Deuce, so i'm curious what music do you listin to when you practice magic or cardistry or what music have you been able to put into your routines

My one really good story comes from practicing a linking ring routine to The Long Hall by Attrition. When it came time to perform, I did it without music.

Everyone could sense there was a song missing from the performance.

I'm finally coming out of my shell and performing more -- I've pretty much committed the last twelve months to studying performance and letting my magic get rusty. When it comes time to perform that routine again (ie, dig through old practice videos and re-assemble it), I'll have music of my own creation ready to go with it.
