The back design needs to have no border so it works for false deals but it also needs to be able to reverse a card.

The back design needs to be congruent with the front design. If there is a border the corner of the border needs to be the same distance away from the actual corner as index. This is so that a card can be secretly reversed.

The card must have to be able to used with another deck of a different color. For effects like Chicago Opener.

The jokers need to be identical. There are lots of magic effects that require duplicates, or an identical card. 3 card monte or sandwich effects must have identical jokers.

The box needs to have the same back design as the cards themselves. There are a ton of effects that you can do with a back design like that.

Is this a right example of back design with no border?

Do borders on backs cause any troubles while performing tricks?

Could you, please, give more detailed explanation or maybe give some example.

So, as far as I understand, a back design of cards should be totally identical to that of a deck, and such things as embossing or metallic foil on the box back are unacceptable for some kinds of tricks?

Yes, those are border-less. The problem with most border less cards is that if you reverse a card you can see the card at the edge. It is also difficult to hide a double lift with a border-less card like the Bee's shown above because the pattern doesn't perfectly match on all sides.

Borderless cards make various moves more deceptive. For example: the mexican turnover, bottom deal second deal, 3 card monte.

The corresponding boxes (purple and orange) need to match each other in width.

Yes, absolutely an the deck must come with a cellophane cover.

Hi! Let's discuss – What are the MUST-HAVE features the 'ideal' trick deck should contain to be suitable for most spectacular tricks? Actual features are welcomed!

I'm not sure where you are coming from. I'd like to lay out some of my favorite decks and why they are good decks of cards. I feel like I'm losing you with somethings.

This is a deck of King's by Ellusionist. The deck comes in a secret stack that is very popular. The deck has no borders, so it helps with make gambling moves more deceptive, but a card could easily be reversed in the deck and you couldn't tell.

These are Tycoons. They also come in a pre-arranged order that is useful in many magic tricks, but the ace still is on the front so it looks legit. These cards come in 2 colors but the faces are the same, so in many effects from the face you wouldn't know that the backs were different.

Marked decks are a beautiful thing. There are a few marked decks out there, but few match the power of the Code. Check out this video of Rick Lax describing its power.

This company, Card Shark, sells cards of different thicknesses and different cuts. You can get cards traditionally cut or reverse cut. They have clever marking systems for right and left handers.

It feels like all of these threads that you have started is to create some kind of ultimate deck. Unfortunately, you are up against some tough competition. Theory11, Ellusionist, and Card Sharks all have considerable resources and know how that would be difficult to fight with.

The Ellusionist Kings are also marked! One of my overall favorite decks out there, but I love anything by Daniel Madison.
