What if you do the opposite, treat all the cards in advance in kibble. And your force card in Cheyenne pepper.

Spectator is amazed, you get a successful effect, dog gets 51 treats. Everyone's a happy camper

Yeah, I thought of that. He started going after the cards by himself at first. The deck itself is kind of old and pretty soft. He seems to be okay with it
