I have an effect I'd like to post but I'm not sure if it has been done, well there is nothing new under the sun but u know what I mean. So should I do more searching or simply post it?

By post it, do you mean sell it? Or give it away for free? Or do you mean post a video of you performing it?

In that case, then as long as you're performing well and not flashing anything, then it doesn't matter if you invented it. You can post the performance of any trick, really.
