yah, so recently i joined up on e forums... not cool stuff. They don't talk about any products that aren't on ellusionist. It doesn't even look like they are allowed to. I asked someone about rich fergison's tagged, just a few simple questions like how easy or hard is it, are there any stooges, ect, (just making sure i don't buy a dvd to tell me something stupid,). So they come back and kinda make a stab at me saying i need to read longer posts and stuff saying that i didn't read hard enough and that my questions were answered in the posts. Why the hell would i ask if they were right there? And the weirdest part was that rich fergison was saying the same thing... he was all "yah dude don't rush reading the posts. It's not a very hard trick. Don't rush it or you will have looser written on your arm. lol jk" yah he said that. With loser spelled wrong. I'm a little offended that someone who isn't very advanced in magic and just wants to know a few things about an effect would get busted down by the trick's own creator. No offence to e or fergison but i'm not returning to that forum and i'm debating if i should even pay 30 bucks for the trick... weird stuff

It's just how they are over there. A lot of people like their forums, but they have rules coming out their asses, and it makes for a not-fun experience. You can't talk about Penguin, Theory11, Dan and Dave, Daniel Madison, etc.

Dude, your question had already been answered. People over there hate it when you don't read all of a thread before posting. And for good reason! What makes what you have to say more important than everybody else says?

You can't talk about Penguin, Theory11, Dan and Dave, Daniel Madison, etc.

Actually Penguin and MM are the only places you can't talk about. And since all but that rule, and the one about no foul language -a rule t11 needs to adopt- the E rules are exactly like the t11 rules.

Way to be misinformed.

I tried to make a Thread review there but it got deleted, so no talking about wayne because he doesn't work for them any more also right.

Why do I smell trouble.

Because 90% of this forum is made of adjohnes esk people who refused to conform to the E rules, then got their lickers in a twist cuz' they got banned. (ad whatever his name is stopped coming around E cuz' he made a four post, off-topic, story about him playing "ring and run" with his friends. I don't know what was wrong with him. The point being that he got chewed out for it, then started calling us all names on other forums. petty anyone?)

Actually because of people like you these forums have to have such strict rules. Get of your high judgmental horse and join the real world buddy.

Sometimes it's difficult to interpret context and emotions on an internet forum. Don't take anything too personally. I'm sure Rich is a great guy.

In regards to the rules on other forums vs. here at theory11 - true, we like to be a little more lenient with our moderating. However, that doesn't necessarily mean one community's way of doing things is "better" than any other's. As stated on many occasions, we respect all those that respect the art.

What makes internet forums great is the fact that we can all come together, as a community of magicians, and work to advance a beautiful art form. That's what's important and that's where our focus should be.

Hey everyone. Its important that we all get along and show our opinions in a respectful manner.

This thread has very quickly escalated into yet another E bashing thread. Why can't we get along? Its not like we are enemy gangs or something... We are internet forums.

If you have any problems, PM an administrator. They will be more than happy to help you out.

E's forum may be stricter, but some prefer it that way while others prefer a site a bit looser such as here at Theory 11. Its your choice. There is no reason to just post stories about how you hate the other company's forum. It just leads to bashing which this thread clearly demonstrates.

Sometimes we may have a problem with certain moderators or administrators. (I myself won't lie, there is an administrator that I don't exactly find kind.) However, I still post there every now and then.

No need to bash. If you get banned, there is no need to just run over here as your backup and post about how much you hate them. I see it too often on here.

Also, just to shoot down some rumors.

E doesn't allow bad reviews of products: False. A while back when Shadow Masters first came out, they weren't exactly my favorite deck. I posted my review which ended up being negative for the most part. (My thoughts on the deck changed over time and I actually like it now. I think I'll probably take it down soon.) Well, my review was not deleted.

E doesn't allow you to talk about anything non-E related: False. I see people talking all the time about different books that aren't available on E. I think I also said D&D in one of my posts over there. Nothing happened.

So there you go. Let's just try to keep things respectful, ok?
