Firstly - I advise that you just accept the fact that a lot of what you come up with will have been done already. That's how it is for everyone. I have personally re-invented several tricks that other magicians put out before me. It happens.

Secondly - what resources have you studied thus far? I ask, because how can you possibly hope to come up with something new if you don't know what's already out there?

Magic has been around for centuries. Some of the most creative and intelligent people in history have made their contributions to this craft. It's incredibly difficult in this day and age to come up with a new and unique card trick.

The thing is, whatever I come up with is already published. I have studied many videos from YouTube as well as the Conjuring Archive. The thing is that when the marketplace started, there were many tricks published that were unoriginal and low quality, like a trick called 2 matches, which is a no-brainer and so easy a card trick that I understood just by watching the trailer, and it wasn't even original. Still, it was published. Now, they have just made their policies so strict that it's almost impossible for a normal person to upload a trick, and what makes me even angry that they literally take weeks to review the trick. However, they say it will be reviewed in 72 hours; one of my tricks even took 3 weeks to review. Now, with that being said, is there a way we both can, like, create a new card trick and publish it on the marketplace?

How long have you been a magician? Have you studied anything outside of YouTube and Conjuring Arts Archive? (Which is just a giant index)

I'm going to say something that's probably going to annoy you - you don't know enough to be original. That's OK.

The magic industry has shifted over time to this idea that to be a magician you have to have published tricks for sale. That's not remotely true. To be a magician you have to perform magic. Done and dusted. Focus on that - go out and perform for audiences, build experience in the trenches as it were, and then, once you've spent time handling live audiences, you'll figure out a problem that needs to be solved. A new method, a new plot, whatever. The best things on the market are ones that solve genuine problems, not whatever slop people come up with just to say they've got a product published somewhere.
