New force?

There is one riffle force that doesn't use a break. It was in Joshua Jay's column in Nov. 2002. It is also in his DVD Talk about Tricks disc 3. It is in The Moves section titled Riffle Force Fineness. Once they say stop you could ask them if they want the top card or the bottom card.

i wouldn't say a packet switch used in conjuntion with a riflle force would defeat the point, no. after all, in a traditional riffle force, we really do a type of packet switch anyway. we add or take away cards from the packet stopped at in order to achieve the desired outcome. i suppose technically speaking, this is not a switch, but it certainly tampers with the packet. it is this same principle of 'tampering' that makes the riffle force i was referring to effective, though in a completely different way.
besdies, plenty of good force's are based around a subtle switching of one or more cards.

C!
