The article is even more interesting. I was really pleased when I read it. I'm glad to see that a non-magician is finally taking us seriously. And the fact that it's published in the New Yorker makes it so much more significant. If you get a chance to read the article, try to spread it around to your family members and friends. All of mine have really liked it and gained a new respect for the art.

I'm gonna take a look at this after I clean up the 5 decks I have destroyed practicing Believe.

That's funny, because Gopnik discusses that. He calls it the real work--perfecting your craft.

I think it's interesting how Gopnik sort of classifies the two schools of thought. The historic illusion ideology and the endurance artist ideology.
