Old Studs Remade?

Did they start reprinting the old Studs (the ones with lighter colored backs)? I saw them at Walgreens today and I was wondering if they really are the old ones or a batch of new ones in the old style. I don't have any old Studs so I can't compare them but they look like the ones I see online. So are these the real old Studs? And are old ones better than the newer ones?

This is what the boxes look like:

well, this question is hard to answer. the ones you see are PINOCHLES, not pokers. they are the same old batch. it is hard to find the originals is poker size.

No, they're not pinochles. They say "Poker Size" right on the box. They are a normal Poker sized deck of cards.

Those are the new Studs. Old Studs handle differently then New Studs. Many Cardists like the older ones better. But the new ones are darker in color and are thicker than the old ones I believe.

Pinochle cards are standard size decks but they have different cards in them. They aren't a complete deck. There are twelve cards of each suit, Ace - 9. So two aces, two kings, two queens, two jacks, two tens, two nines, in each suit.

The old studs are very brightly colored, with this picture on the front and the back design on the back

The new studs are much duller, with this picture on the front and the back design on the back

Hope that helps :)

They are NOT pinochles! It is a normal deck. These look exactly like pictures I've seen of the old Studs, I'm just not sure if they are originals or if it's a newer deck with the old look. Maybe they started printing them the old way again.

These actually appear to be thinner than the new ones. Is that the way it is on the old ones?

For those who have old Studs my barcode says "0 49022 01807 5". Does this match yours? If it does than it's probably an original. Could someone please check?
