You'll always want to do something quick and visual to spark their interest. I like Angle Z by DM and Here Then There (I'm not sure who it's by, but it was made popular by D Blaine).
Personally, I would try to use something borrowed. Like Gregory Wilson's Recap with a borrowed pen or your favorite coins across with some borrowed quarters.
