I was wondering why the explanation of Pandora in Dan and Dave's 'tricks and flourishes and everything else' DVD is different from what I see is being performed on Youtube. The one I learnt in the DVD has an extra move while those that I have seen on performed are missing this particular move. I have even seen Dan and Dave themselves do the version without the extra move too. I have only seen the longer version of this flourish from the DVD and no where else. So I hope I can get some answers through this thread.

The explanation from the DVD is the "full version" or the "Original version", I think. But without the part you're talking about, the move still looks good right. And in my opinion, it even make the move more connected without the missing part. It maybe one reason

It's just preference. While it was taught with the extra move, a lot of people, including Dan and Dave, don't perform it that way, preferring a shorter more fluid version. I prefer the shorter version, but have recently been playing with my own version of pandora; adding and subtracting moves where I see fit. I would encourage you to do the same once you have it down so you can make it your own.
