Questions On Vertigo Hackeysack

Hey Guys.
I'm an old guy, way behind the curve on most of you kids with the new flourishes.
I've been working on some Buck stuff. I think the Vertigo Hackeysack is a brilliant idea that would REALLY impress spectators live. I've been working on it twice daily for about three weeks now.
I can keep the dropped packet together now when I kick it back up, but it's still inconsistent. I was wondering about how consistently some of you can perform this? If I warm up for about 5 minutes I can kick the packet up successfully for about 5-10 minutes afterwards. I will catch the packet probably 9-10 times. After that I'm too tired and start kicking cards all over the room.
If I don't warm up I only catch the packet 3 out of 10 times.
Is this the same for you? Is this a flourish I'm only going to do when I'm "hot"?

Well you need the cards to be slightly clumpy. The warmer the cards are (literally) the more they will clump. That's probably why you don't get the packets holding together when you just take the deck out of the box.
