I have had some times in my life where I was going to throw all my magic out the window and give up on the art but for some reason I could not let it go. I have realized that it is a part of my life now and without a deck of cards in my hands I might go insane lol...

I am interested in your stories about almost giving up the art of magic but in the end why you stuck with it.

Magic, for the past sevenish years, has been one of those coming and going passions. I would get really into it for a few months, and then forget all about it.

Recently I became "really into it" again, started learning more about the art and history and theories, etc. I don't see it leaving my life any time soon :)

Well since this is my first time posting here in a while I would say that I have quit for a while. The reason for my departure from this is art was for 2 main reasons.(there are more but they are too personal)

1. I felt uninspired by some of the stuff I was seeing and I felt the need to buy anything that looked too good to be true.

2. I was a shy person and was afraid of what people would think of me.

Now I am glad to say that I am getting back into the art and trying to give back the joy that got me into magic in the first place.
