Hey guys, don't criticize me for exposure, but this is very important:

I purchased Aaron Fisher's Panic effect at MagiFest 2009 and I got the gimmicked set with it (of course). Later on, to my extreme chagrin, I discovered that t11 had discontinued the effect and Fisher's website is getting rid of its last stock. Basically, the danger is that if my gimmick is somehow damaged or lost, I will be permanently disabled from performing the effect!

Without revealing too much, I am aware of the nature of the gaff design (you'd might as well find something like this on Ellusionist's Red Gaff or Ultragaff Decks). I have scanned the card back designs for reference and I think that the next step is to find someone who might be able to recreate gaffs like this one. I'm sure someone who does gaff cards will immediately understand what to look for upon receiving the images.

The question is now, what reputable gaff card makers would you recommend for custom work of a few packets like this? Do not recommend cardsbymartin.com, he is dead . I need someone who could easily do real custom work, not just standard things like splitting gaffs.

I am aware that other people around the magic community have already succeeded in recreating the Panic gimmick properly, so I would appreciate if I could find any sources as to how to do this. I'm not going to blow my money on another set with a DVD no one else can use.

Efficiently,
SS23

Although I do understand the situation you're in, recreating a gimmick such as this one would not only prove costly (if getting printed professionally) - but it would also be a bit unethical, in my opinion.

As opposed to jumping the gun, try contacting some shops that still carry Panic and see if they'd be willing to sell you an individual replacement gimmick at a portion of the full DVD price. I'm sure you'll find a retailer that would work with you.

That said, this thread is bordering on exposure - and I don't see how any others could respond without going into the details behind the gimmick. For this reason, I'm going to go ahead and close it.

Please PM me if you have any further questions, comments, or concerns. I'd be more than willing to chat it up and help anyway I can! :)
