Red Jaqk Deck

I bought a red Jaqk deck about two months ago on eBay. It was new in the cellophane, but when I opened it the out-of-the-box handling was surprisingly pretty bad. I was bummed out because I had pretty high expectations. The deck came from Singapore so could it be a counterfeit..? For those Jaqk deck owners out there, how does your Jaqks handle?

I've only handled 1 deck of Red JAQKs, but they were super smooth and handled beautifully. Are the edges brown on your deck? Is the ink metallic?

Deck handling issues with a new deck of cards are (almost) exclusively caused by issues with humidity. All of our decks for the most part use the same stock and finish, and human hands the majority of the time never touch the cards before your hands. Since we ship cards all over the world it is not at all unlikely that the humidity levels of your deck have changed several times during shipping

Try this. Take your deck, put it back in the tuck case. Find a cool, dark corner of your home. Set the deck on its side on a hard, flat surface. Find a hard, flat, heavy object like a hardcover book and put that on top of the deck. Now leave the deck alone for a few days, even up to a week. This will give your deck the chance to adjust to your humidity, and the weight on it will keep the cards from warping. Don't touch the deck until several days have passed, not even for to check on them, just let them sit. When they have sat undisturbed for a few days try again. This trick also works for an old deck that you have overused and has become humid from your hands.

Try it out!
