I recently learned the Pandora flourish and am currently practicing the moves. I plan to learn a couple more new tricks.

My new year resolutions is to actually have a stream of shows during the year instead of having just 4-5 shows per month... film my tricks I want to share with the community (Dissolutions, The Bottle, etc) and keep being a present father and keep enjoying family life

This year has been a big leap as I enter the world of cardistry for the 2nd year. Cant believe it is the already the 2nd year of tricks and magic and beyond decks of cards. Thw collection is growing, the tricks are improving and looking forward to another big progression in the coming years. This hobby is enticing and invigorating

This past year, I really leaned into card collecting and discovered how fun (and slightly addictive) it can be. What started as picking up a deck or two turned into learning about different brands, designs, finishes, and themes. I built a small but meaningful collection and began to appreciate playing cards not just as something to use, but as something to admire. Each deck feels like its own little piece of art with a story behind it.

Looking ahead to 2026, my goal is to keep growing my collection with intention. I’d like to explore more unique and limited decks, learn more about card design and production, and become more selective about what I add to my collection. Mostly, I want to keep enjoying the hunt, discovering cool decks, and sharing my appreciation for cards with other collectors.

In 2025 I finally got around to memorizing the mnemonica stack! In 2026 I plan on putting it into use with some of Asi Wind’s stuff and to start work on the Particle System by Joshua Jay!

2025 was a busy year for me and magic plus cardistry was in on and off relationship for me. Theory 11 contests were a fresh breeze in my busy year. This year I didn't use my cards as much as I wanted but it's something I definitely want to improve on next year. I started practising couple of effects soo...

In 2026 I want to master these effects and use my decks more. Even though I'm a card collector, I think the cards and the hardwork put into them really deserve to be on display whether it's magic or cardistry. So in 2026 I want to open some of my closed decks and just enjoy working with them. Happy new year everyone!

In 2025, I finally got into designing my own decks, which is something I'd been wanting to do for a long time. They're just for me, but I love having a bespoke deck of cards that has my mark on it. I also grew my card collection and I'm starting to get my little cousins into magic!

In 2026, I want to keep designing cards and dip my toe back into ring and cup/ball effects. Happy New Year, everyone!

I enjoyed doing a little magic this year.
But mostly worked on the collection.
I hope to join a local magic club this year.

This year, I got to meet The Virts and other people I had only seen on social media before, during an unexpected cardistry jam in Singapore. I went there for work and just happened to see an email about the jam. Unforgettable experience!

My goals for 2026 are to start reading again, eat healthier, and lose weight.

This year: I put a lot of my "new magic" goals on hold, with a greater goal of working some real "magic" on my personal finances. It's been tough - the Internet overflows with temptations. "Soon, my pretties." I tell them. "Soon."

I also read Unreasonable Hospitality, by Will Guidara. It's a book I think every magician would benefit from. Scratch that: every person. It's just wonderful, when you discover a writer who's speaking a language you've felt your entire worklife. To have someone explain it, deepen it, widen the possibilities... man. I honestly can't think of any discovery that has broadened my scope of what magic is, and what magic can be, than that book.

Next year? My goal is simple: I'm done with heroes. I'm done trying to cop moves and presenetations by the folks I admire so much, trying to make their work into my own. Next year, it's all me. My ideas, my patter, my performance. I would rather be a failure as myself, than a success as someone else.

I wish you all the best in what's left of this year, and even better in the next one!
