Hey guys! Hope everyone is having a great start to the weekend! Let's bring back one of my favorite contests that we haven't done in a while...

Anyone else find that even after their decks have been retired because of heavy use, they still keep them around? I can't bring myself to ever get rid of them! For example, I always take out the Jokers of every new deck and stack them up, so eventually I can make a full mixed deck of Jokers with all different back designs. Doing some cardistry with a bunch of different back designs is quite satisfying to my eye, so that's what I use the extra cards for. What unique ways do you use your cards and/or tucks? I may "borrow" these ideas for my own use....

Please post your entries to THIS forum thread by 11:30pm EST tomorrow, Sunday, August 23rd.

What can you win? 1,000 Elite Member Points and 6 decks of your choice that are currently in stock!

Since it’s almost the start of the school year, I’ll add my two cents. Whenever I’ve retired a deck, I bring it to my elementary classroom for my students to use when we do addition and subtraction flashcard games. They get a kick out of seeing which deck they get to use each time.

Pro tip- sometimes casinos donate old sets of cards to teachers and schools
If you ask nicely :)

Might be a bit niche… but I have a stamp-shaped holepunch, so I take the cards I don’t need (ad cards, sometimes jokers too) and make a couple of stamps out of them. I use the stamps to decorate my journal, or stick them to the wrapping paper of a present to make it look extra cool ☺️

I take cards and use them as bookmarks. Super fun and awesome until I find a card in an old book and don’t know where the deck is

If i am in bed and suddenly think of something, i write it on a playing card and put it on my desk so that i am reminded of it when i wake up

I sometimes use the ad cards to practice the linking cards…making gimmicks experimenting with different ideas. Anything to do with destroying cards… I use those cards first for practice or experimentation for creativity.

I use old tucks to hold tiny items in my desk drawer (toothpicks, pins, paperclips, etc.) - usually the cards are either all worn out or lost to the ether.

I use them to practice! Having decks in different conditions allows me to be ready to use borrowed decks or perform impromptu. If you try, you will find that lots of techniques work with old decks.

I staple my old playing cards to cardboard and take them to the range for target practice. I will arrange them randomly and try to shoot good poker hands.

i have made those card stars with old decks , they look really good also great fun to make if you love art and craft.
