theory11 — Magic Tricks & the World's Finest Playing Cards

Saturday Night Contest - theory11 Turns 19!

My favourite theory11 moment was getting my first pack of monarchs. My collection at that time was small and I didn’t have any decks that handled the same way, so it was great to practice different shuffles with.

I am always looking forwards for the time along Christmas when the wheel is awoken. I also like the hype sessions T11 create whenever they are about to launch something big

On Theory11, I won my first magic contest on SNC, which must have been in 2019. It was about creating a magic effect using some items. It really sparked my interest in getting back into magic after a long break, and now I’m more in love with magic than ever before.

My favorite moment was the release of the Harry Potter decks - I am big a fan of both Harry Potter and Theory 11 and seeing that collab was awesome!

Although I was there in the beginning in 2007 or 08, when I discovered theory 11 I’ve been on and off the site through the years and then rediscovered it in 2020 right around the Covid era and my son being born, and boy am I glad I rediscovered Theory11 and I haven’t stopped! My favorite moments are when Theory11 releases new decks and specialty decks along with the great community of people here.

Theory11 was actually my first deck of cards! A few months ago, I rode my bike to Walgreens and got some sodas with my friends. I saw the playing card section and looked. I saw the Artisans and thought they were really neat! I bought them, and that's where the collection started. Since then, I've gotten 6 free decks from Saturday Night Challenge.

Thank you so much for all these giveaways, Casey! I'm a broke high school student, and it would mean the world to me if I even got 1 of those free Monarch Prestige decks! Thank you again to all those who work at Theory11. You will always have a place in my heart.
Heres a picture of my collection if anyone wants to know 😭

Happy Birthday Theory11. My favorite Theory11 moment was when I started my fascination with Up The Ladder Cuts this was back in 2012. I have been practicing the move ever since and have reached speeds unimaginable . I know that speed isn't everything but for me it is. I tried going at a slower pace but it just doesn't do anything for me. I wish after being a member for 13 years that Theory11 would sponsor my Up The Ladder Tutorial it would help a lot of magicians out in learning the move.. But for the time being that is just a dream.

Here is something :

Happy birthday! My favorite moment was my first purchase back in 2008, Prophet by Tom Isaac's and TnR by Mathieu Bich! Those kept me going on the magic path that I am still on! Can't thank Theory11 enough for all they do for the magic community!

My single favorite memory involving theory11 has to be getting my first deck of their playing cards. I remember opening the box and being completely amazed by how beautifully everything was designed, from the packaging to the cards themselves. It felt like I wasn’t just buying a deck of playing cards; I was holding a little piece of art and magic in my hands. That first experience is what made me appreciate theory11 and the incredible attention to detail they’ve put into their decks over the years.

Nothing beats the mysterious opening of the site. We'd see hints dropped into strange places and we'd discuss what Theory 11 is week by week. At the time, I don't think we knew it was going to be a whole new site.

My favorite moment so far was my wife buying a Mystery Box Lock Box for our anniversary. It's a nice talking piece when we have guests. They can't believe I've never opened it. I've unlocked the lock a few times, but have never opened it. The mystery within is a gift left un-discovered.

Congrats Theory11. My best Theory11 moment is where I saw the the Marvel themed deck (Marvel fan btw) and was like I have to get these. Found out after that on their website a lot more nice decks not only Marvel ones. Since then I started my collection around 4 years ago.

This might be a copout answer, but my favorite memory will be whatever comes next.

Runnerup memories: discovering the joy of "Overstuft" by Bizzaro, my first booktest (thanks to J. Zandman, also), and reading Batman #168 for the first time. Why that?

Well, let's just say Theory11 actually made it's first appearance in the world way back in December 20, 1950.

The Red Hood attempts to rob "The Monach Playing Card Company."

And which company makes Monarch Playing Cards?

We all know the answer here...

Theory11.

Are the magicians who founded this fine organization really secret, comicbook-camero making time-travellers?

Maybe. I choose to believe so, at least.

Thank you all for everything. And next time you're in Canada, let me know. I'll head north, buy you a beer (legal drinking age in Canada is 19. You made it!),
