The first time I fell in love with card flourishing, was when I watched Virtuoso's "Reintroduction" video
(which can be found here).
The way they presented the artform was very dynamic and looked very attractive to me as a young teen. The editing of the video to the music along with the technical prowess of the members inspired me to pursue card flourishing because it simply looked so cool. I began to follow Huron, Daren, and Kevin's works together as well as individuals. To this day, I still practice some of their signature moves (Huron's "Firefly," Daren's "Squeeze Cut" and "Tornado Cut Variation" and Kevin's "Lavender Lapdance Combo" and "Sick and Twisted Wings of the Mockingbird") because of me becoming a fan so many years ago.
To this day, I still re-watch the video every year and it still holds a very special place in my heart. I cannot believe it was created almost two decades ago. Although the artform has evolved and changed so much since then, I feel that it withstands the test of time.
The video really changed my life, as it inspired me to start practicing flourishing, and to this day, cardistry is still a big part of my life.
