Second Deal or Bottom Deal?

I love playing cards with friends and these look like really good moves. I'm wondering however which move is more worth the money. Which move has more applications and works easily to cough*cheat*cough?

Thanks,
Charlie

Bottom deal. Definitely. Magically, the bottom deal can be used as a switch, a change, a force, and several other things, alongside it's traditional dealing-around-a-table use. If you actually want to cheat, you'd need to have a marked or stacked deck in order to take advantage of the second deal, whereas the bottom dealcan be used even with an unprepared deck. However, along with the deal itself, you would also need a method of culling the cards you want, false shuffling, and nullifying the cut in order to get the money.

My advice is to get The Expert at the Card Table by S W Erdnase before you invest in any other material and get a feel for how these moves work together. Then you will be able to make a more informed decision about where to go from there.

Both can be used as a card at any number principle. Angle wise, I'd say that the bottom deal is the best way to go. When done right, it's angle proof.
