Siegfried & Roy's TV Debut?

Here's the earliest clip that I have seen of Siegfried & Roy. It comes from one of the Dick Cavett HBO Magic specials that he hosted in the 1970's. Has anyone ever seen anything earlier?

That brought back some fond memories... but yes, I believe this was in fact, their first American appearance given that they arrived in this country in the early 70s if I recall correctly.

The part that kills me is that for as fun and solid as this act was, it seems amazingly "amature" compared to what their career ended on. The "Beyond Belief" show at the Mirage was something to behold... not because of the magic effects featured but because it was such an amazing -- massive -- production.
