hello everybody. so i am going to MC a high school band concert for a family member as a magician and i wanted to perform a grand illusion. does anybody know a good illusion i could buy the plans for? something that i could make and perform relatively quickly without too much cost because my fabricator wouldnt be able to put something together in a week or two

I wouldn't throw something together that quickly. Jeff Mcbride recommends the chair suspension, or the hindu sword basket.
You don't need a huge illusion to close a show in my opinion. Richard Hatch a very accomplished magician in my area performs a gypsy thread routine as an encore, in essence he closes his stage show with a close up effect that can be performed on stage.
You might also think about performing a large revelation of some type. Write a whole bunch of celebrities names on cards, force one and reveal it in a big way.

thank you. basically right now what i am doing is there are three bands playing and i do an intro then two more in between. right now i am doing a rope routine for the introduction and i have a multiphase grand illusion for the middle band which i will perform while they play their songs. my original plan was to do a money routine with an audience member as my third performance but i didnt know how well that would play as a closure between those three going from a small stage to a big stage to a close up. if you think that would be okay from a spectators point of view then i will take your word for it.
