Stage Show

I am looking at doing a stage show for my church youth group. There is no set time so I have plenty of time to come up with something. It will be in a room full of 150-200 kids

I really wanted to do just two major effects just played up really well and these are the two that I was thinking:

Flow and Catch

Catch is basically a card catch effect, but your hand is cleanly shown empty, then all the cards are sprung into the air and you catch the selected card! This can be done close up, stage, and even surrounded.

Flow can also be done surrounded.

My problem is that I don't know how to tie these in together, and how to make a routine out of these two, and if I should throw in some filler effects that work good on stage.

Any suggestions and help are greatly appreciated.

the good news is that you have plenty of time...so you´ll find out that there is a lot to be checked...the tricks are usually only a small part of a stage show...

my suggestion is that you should start little...this means perform in stage in events or your church for around 5-10 min, non a full show, but at least you can see slowly how to react and behave in stage...

Well, I say stage show because I will be on stage in front of a lot of people, but it will be short (he just wants me to show everyone some magic) and that is why I opted to these two tricks. They are amazing and I can play them up big time.

It will be over 150 high schoolers (another reason I opted to these two tricks because they are visual and fun), but I will still be able to talk and be heard, so no need for music or anything like that

With all these gigs at your school you seem to be getting more and more popular!! How many have you done now?

Dude I have been getting a lot more popular! I did one show that was video'd (not to mention all the class room performances), I have definitely 1 more video'd performance to do and quite possibly one more after that.

My youth pastor wants me to do magic for the whole youth group, and now..... lol....

......My school does this thing called celebrate success at the end of every six weeks and it is like a big party....They want me to get up on stage and do some close up style magic and it being enlarged on a screen with a camera on me!

I did a stage show of 5 min some weeks ago and even when there was only around 20-30 people, it was very hard for them to hear me...and it was a small place...you will need sound...
