Superhero Magic

I was wondering if you could help me think of tricks that look like cool superhero powers. I'd prefer to leave out levitation and mentalism tricks as those are kind of their own thing in magic anyway (if that makes any sense) but I know they could be used for a sort of telekinesis/Professor X type thing.

I also realize that most magic tricks will appear to be superpowers so it's kind of hard to explain what I'm looking for here. I've made a list so you can get a better idea of what I mean.

Here are some I've come up with so far:

-Pyro
-Absolute Zero
-Magma combined with a smoke device and some sort of metal bending effect
-Steel
-Electric Touch 2.0
-The Karate Coin or Kukarate Coin. I've heard it called many names

Any others you can think of?

X-Ray vision (Omni-Deck or Omni-Pen)

You could say you will use your X-Ray vision to find the card and show that you are looking through the deck to find their card? haha
That's a really good idea.
To be honest, it wasn't exactly what I was looking for when I made this post. I meant tricks that sort of inherently look like comic book powers. But now that I think about it, it would also be nice to hear some super power twists on other tricks. Like presentation ideas where you can present it as a superpower. Thank you! :)

Frozen by Adam Grace
Flow by Dan Haas
Hovercard by Dan Harlan (yeah, I know you said no levitation but it seriously looks like you are using the Force)

Is producing long strands of colorful streamers from your mouth a superpower? If so, add a mouth coil to the list.

Mouth coils? Eh, nott so much. But throw coils look like Spider-Man webs.

Texa$, with a dollar sign
Look on EBay for state quarters. There are legitimate gold plated versions of them (and very affordable as well). So you get however many you need for a trick. Let's say, all Missouri quarters. Get the same amount in the gold quarters.

You're now set to do a routine where you have 'alchemical powers' and can turn those quarters to gold.

Like some sort of King Midas effect. I like it.

These are just off the top of my head, but feel free to use them as ideas
Idea A: Use a phantom/clear deck to do something like this:
1. Make a regular deck transform into a phantom deck.
2. Have said Phantom deck disappear and reappear somewhere
3. Have it change back to a regular deck,

Visual Deck Switches (Like A Shin Lim Deck Switch, or maybe even a Cooler) or a hidden deck switch with heavy misdirection and redirection to make it appear instant. I'm assuming lapping is the best way to make it disappear, but if you use the mis driection of putting it in a box, it might work.

Idea B:
1. Place a bottle or can on a wall or a table a few feet away.
2. "Use the force" to knock it over
Subtle but effective. I******* T***** or a small servo unit thing might work. I don't know if it will, but it might.

Good Luck!

There's a trick from The
Royal Road that I dress up as a demonstration of Daredevils powers. I explain how his sense of touch is so heightened that he can read ink off of a newspaper and that I've been working on this type of ability with playing cards. I then have the deck shuffled and a card selected while the rest of the deck goes into my pocket. Then proceed to match the card they chose. I can't remember the name of the trick at the moment though but it's very powerful.

Where in the Royal Road is it? A specific slight or a standalone trick I can look for you right now.

It's a trick but I can't remember under what section of the book it's in. Look for tricks where you go to your pocket or the spectators pocket. Key word in the patter is you're going to try and "match" their card.

I own Royal Road. I'll look through it to see what you're talking about.
