Swami Mantra - Pins and Needles

Hello, I recently purchased my copy of the Swami Mantra and I found an effect called Pins and Needles. After reading the horrifying method (and skeptical) I wanted to ask if anyone here had any advice on if this method ACTUALLY WORKS.

Also any other tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks =)
