Thoughts on Silent Magic Act

I've always wanted to create a short magic act done to music, but never got to it until a few days ago. This is my first attempt at constructing this type of act, which obviously still needs a HUGE improvement. One of the things I definitely need to work on is timing my act to the end of the music (I'm 30 seconds short). Also, sorry about the small flash here and there, I was concentrating too much on the camera since I don't want my body to go out of frame. However, in a live show, I will be able to concentrate my attention fully on my hands and my surroundings, meaning I won't be staring straight to the front throughout the act like I did on this video. With all of that in mind, I am looking forward to any advice you may have :)

Hi Pete,

I think you are well on your way to a great silent act. I think that the routine itself is quite nice, but it just needs to be smoother. This will obviously come with practice. Good job.

I think is it a good start with a lot of possibilities but has quite a ways to go still. I would say that you more than 30 seconds short if you go back and look at the extra time that is spent fumbling around with the sharpie and things like that. If did everything smoothly there is probably another 30-45 seconds to fill there.

I would suggest practicing in the outfit that you would be wearing to help with timing as far as where you are putting the pen etc. and you could also look at editing the music track if it is too long and you don't want to add anything else to the routine.
