Thoughts on these books?

This Christmas, I recieved 3 magic books (Royal Road to card magic by Hugard and Braue, Magic: the complete course and Joshua Jay's book of amazing card tricks, both by Joshua Jay) I haven't had the time to look through any of them thoroughly, but I did find 3 tricks from the Joshua Jay books that really stood out to me. Do you have any thoughts on the books, or any favorite tricks from them?

Royal Road is a great book. Some of the descriptions are a little hard to follow, but the book is great. My favorites are:
