Elis, Joel didn't record this piece for laymen. This piece was for magicians eyes. His presentation was not just that, it was a lecture. Him revealing that the deck was in order was part of the lecture, not just for entertainment value. Even though I didn't find it anticlimactic at all.

A clear direct script might.

As would moves that don't look like moves.

But I'm sure my opinion is in the minority.
