The performance video shows the use of the clip shift for the final vanish but the explanation of the vanish is not the clip shift but something less visual. Can anyone tell me why this is so?

This question has been asked every single week for the last year.

Chad Nelson was not ready to release the Clip Shift when The Trilogy was released.

It is a complicated sleight with many applications and has it's own DVD which can be bought here http://store.dananddave.com/surfaced.html

Why would you get it just because you have The Trilogy? Just because you have a DVD that has a performance of the Clip shift on it doesn't mean you will be taught the move for free.
