Very Nice Experience in Performance

Hey what´s up?!!

I want to share something that happened to me the other night

I went to a party on saturday, that was a Hell-Of a party!! I mean there was good people, good food, everybody was having a great time I was home by 6:00 am!! well, the thing here is that I was in that party and somebody recognize me from a performance of magic weeks ago and I was asked to do some magic....fortunately for me I had more than enough magic with me.

So I started performing and everything was going fine,I was doing mostly card magic and the thing is that in one moment I did a trick where you have to deal in the table most of the deck, the trick was fine, everybody reactions were very well and then the unthinkable happen!!!!!

Somebody spilled an entire glass of soda by accident in the table and in most of my cards (48 cards of 52!!!!) and they were useless because of that!!!!!. everybody thought that it was the end of the show,so I was forced to do magic with coins, rubberbands and everything I could find there in that table.

everything went great and just before I left the party the people asked me to return to that table. Turns out that they felt a little bad about my deck and decided to gather money for me to buy a new one!! only that it wasn´t 6 bucks (70 pesos in mexican currency)but around 25 bucks!!! I was very happy because of that and how this people decided to helped me even when then performance was free!!! NOW THAT´S WHAT I CALL MAGIC!!!

I don't think the tricks he performed are important, this is just a really nice about how magic can effect people. Its really nice when stuff like this happens.

I think the more important question, at least for you personally would be, what are they going to remember you for?

The other weekend I performed for about half an hour at a party, and all the effects were very well received. But the very first effect was the one that was the reputation maker - even if I had completely and utterly screwed up every single other effect I attempted, they would've still remembered me for that effect as a great magician.
