I dont use it, its not brilliant, but for free I dont know of much that could beat it.

For picture editor: GIMP

For video editor: Windows Movie Maker lol

Strictly online use you could use "picnik" which is a basic photo editor.

As far as movie editing you can use Jumpcut.

Both are online both are free

movie editing: Wax 2.0 a little complicated. but you can do greenscreen, multi-layer video editing, etc. you can find tutorials online.

For the pics you can use photofiltre.com . The current one you have to pay for, but they do have a free version that's a little dumbed down. Gimp is a really great editor too. I happen to use a combination of four different editors for my stuff though lol.
