what do you enjoy in a deck of cards

I love cards and i am relatively well in designing but need two questions answered.

1...what color do you like ona deck (opinions on changing color of pips and faces)

2...simple or complex design ( like fontaines or monarchs)

And anything else you guys might personally enjoy seeing in cards

I don't mind changing the colours of the pips, like in the Virts' decks its done well. As long as the colour representing clubs and spades is darker than the colour for hearts and diamonds.
