What do you think about this card routine?

Well it was flashy. You flashed the thick edge going into the box. There was a small flash of the DF as the end.

There were unnecessary moves, like putting the ace of spades into the card box. With just the music, which you get points for it not being dub step, we do not know the motivation for the isolation of the ace in the card box. Why aces? With a presentation you can change it from a simple assembly into a show piece.

You only did one style of vanish three times. Really need to mix it up. And slow down the showing of the backs. Why run when no one is chasing?

The over all handling of the cards was sloppy. Either it was a new out of box deck that hadn't been broken in or maybe it was the surface you was working on, but it seemed like the cards were really slick.

We are just seeing hands. It's like the Mismage guy or who ever on youtube. Just floating hands. At least Jambi was a floating head. (Look humor for those of us around in the 80's.) We get no personality from it. just hands.

I should note I have nothing against dub step. I have a folder of it in the music collection. It just seems like every video is using it now.

I'm mostly going to agree with Krab. I think your basis is there - but you need a lot more practice and some minor changes.

First - You did the same vanish each time, as he said. But you also did it clumsily. You had to fiddle with the cards to get them into position. Why not just fan them and place the card into position. There are different counts you can use as well, to shake things up a little bit so I'm not just waiting for you to finish fumbling with cards and get to the point.

With a spoken script the isolation of the cards would make more sense. To me, as someone that is familiar with card tricks, it just tipped the ending. The aces were going to show up in the card box at the end. The rest is just waiting for you to get to the point.

I suggest watching other people do MacDonald's Aces and variations thereof to get some ideas of different ways to present those vanishes.

Thanks for your opinion! :)

We are working on making videos with a spoken script.
We will also try to improve our performances and our techniques, and yes the deck was sloppy because it was new.
