What is Magic?

So for me magic’s not about the trick that we think we see, it’s more about life itself. The art of magic defies scientific explanation in a way that's just astonishing, proving the age old philosophy that anything is possible.

Succinctly speaking that's my definition of magic, I'm curious to see what other magicians views are.

So... What is Magic?

Man! I got to say this isONE of the BEST topics I've seen on this webbsite this is a very intressting topic.

For me magic is belief, when you do magic you get the spectator to a place full of wonder and possibilities a place were there are no boundaries.

I also think magic is very important, when you get into someones life and give them this kick of wonder it breaks everything and to give people this ticket to the wonderland and leave all their problems for just a few seconds is a lot of fun.

Magic is so much for me so I can write a lot more but I want to end with a quote from David Blaine himself

"What is magic?
When the magician provoke us into wonder
When he demonstrate the impossible
We ask ourselves why? how?
The answer is: It's all magic"

I'm glad you agree this is an interesting topic. For me this question is one of life's deepest philosophical mystery's.
I also love that quote. I believe Genius is a word overused nowadays but I think it can applied to David Blaine.

He re kicked magic into the public light, showing that nothing is impossible. Without his work I wouldn't be where I am today. As well as many other prolific performers.

Your definition is very interesting and you said you could elaborate, would you mind telling us a little more as this is such an interesting subject? Thanks x
