You mean uncancelled, right?

Oh, and it can be summed up like this..."It's personal preference." If some of us like them, we got them. If we didn't like them, they would still be plenty of them left to sell later.

Why are these so special? Yeah, their a canceled deck, but they don't even compare to the Jerry's Nugget deck.

And what's so special about the Jerry's Nugget Deck?

Some people bought a whole whack of them for next to nothing per deck and are sitting on them and slowly releasing them to those who are willing to pay top dollar for them. Now, originally the decks weren't worth much, and probably still aren't because there are SO many in existence, but only few are being released. Now, those who are sitting on the huge lot of them can't really sell all of them off at once, because the perceived value would drop drastically, and the "cash cow" they're sitting on wouldn't be so valuable....

so yeah, the Wynn's and the Jerry's are all perceived to be valuable by people who hype them. Buy them if you like them, if you collect cards, or if you want to own something that's pretty hyped. As far as actual value for rarity, both Wynns and Jerry's Nuggets aren't worth much. Casino's get cards printed by the USPCC, and the cards are USUALLY on Bee stock, or worse. You can't compare both Wynns and Jerry's to a truly rare deck, like the Black Ghost from Ellusionist. There are only 5000 Black Ghost decks in existence. There will only ever be 5000 decks (of the first edition) ever made. They are used for promotional purposes. Looking at all 3 decks from an actual rarity perspective, the Black Ghost wins hands down....the Jerry's and Wynn decks are nowhere close to them in rarity.

But, after all, I guess it's all about supply and demand, and if there is limited "available" supply of Jerry's and Wynns, they will be more valuable. I'm talking more along the lines of what has ever existed.

Jerry Nugget's were printed on a sort of wax paper that the USPC doesn't use anymore. They stopped making them in the 1970's. Wynns doesn't even compare to the Jerrys. Wynns were made on regular bee stock. They are nothing compared to the Jerry's. So why are they a big deal? All hype.

Hawk7 - go cry about it.
It's not like posts are limited.

sure there are 5000 black ghost decks in the world, so what? there are gonna be second edition black ghost decks coming in 2008 and i'm fairly certain that brad said that there will be no difference in card quality of the 1st and 2nd edition black ghost decks. the only difference is that the 1st editions have the word "1st edition" at the side of the box and the second one has... well second edition!:D

point is black ghost decks arent going to be as rare as they used to be, unless of course you really want to pay 350 dollars for a box that has the words 1st edition on them:D

jerry's on the other hand are rare due to the fact that they were made on some weird stock which is by the way supposedly indestructible (or made to last long, stand to humidity and doesnt warp much) and was very good for flourishing. now that the machine that originally manufactured jerry's is gone and probably recycled, the process of recreating a deck with such a great stock is out of question since i dont think that uspcc would go through the trouble again just to recreate the machine just for us magicians:D

the only reason why wynns are like jerry's is pretty much the back design (maybe stiffness as well?). all it is is a rectangle of a solid color, and then added to the solid color is a pretty insignia...or a tower.

Correction, they ARE changing the cards as well as the boxes. We don't know what they will be changing though.(quality, the spade on the ace?, etc)

HAHAHAHAHAHA

Read this too fast :

"now that the machine that originally manufactured jerry's is gone and probably recycled"

and read it as :

"now that the magician that originally manufactured jerry's is gone and probably recycled"

I have a deck of Jerrys.. I dare not open them but Dan and Dave sent me an autograph on a JN card.. it was very thin, very bendable and very light.. I personally prefer a little stiffness in my cards. Jerry's would probably not be to my liking.

Ok, i'm going to spill the beans on the secrets of the Brown Wynns. There is a special chemical in the finish of the cards known as Karesium. Now it just so happens that there is also a race of evil aliens 3,495 light years away from Earth that is bent on our destruction. However, Karesium (the element in the finish of Brown Wynn Decks) are the anti-thesis to these aliens. A single touch of the cards will cause them to explode.

There is a prophecy that the "Eleven" will save Earth from these Aliens. THAT is why these decks are so valuable.....
