I mostly use either red back bikes or black artisans..the red bikes are better for me practically because I perform reform, and nany times I use a fancy deck people ask me if it's a trick deck.

And the artisans are my favorites because I love the design and the feel of them.

I recommend Red/Blue Bikes for practice or hanging out, and monarchs for high-end gigs or at the mall. Bikes are great and cheap for practice and seem like something just brought up with friends. Monarchs show a bit more expression for the mall and a gig, and they feel great/look great.

YES! I get great compliments with the red monarchs all the time at corporate events. But for practice I use standard bikes. Now when I'm out doing errands or just hanging out, my go to playing cards are Memento Mori by Chris Ramsay. I think its fresh/aesthetically pleasing and gives me a break from the standard look.

Artisans huh.... Have you tried the Medallions yet ? I got one from Barnes and Nobles just to try it out. and i was actually please with he medallion deck! It handles well and the court cards are fully custom. Besides the Red Monarch. The Red tycoons and Medallions are my favorite from Theory 11

I practice and street perform with Red/blue Bikes

I do corporate gigs with either Blue Monarchs or Black Cherry Casino Cards...I just really love the class that those two bring.

I agree, it's more of a concession to not have an easy access to a lot of them. So I've gotten use to the black variant, used them enough now that I feel comfy with their look and feel.

Costco sells a brick of bikes for ~$15. So I use those for practice.

I would use NOCs for everything else. I like the plain design. Looks good, and also makes spectators feel confident they're normal even though they're not. I don't really use the making system, but it's nice to have it there if ever.

Ive heard that the NOCs are in question for their durability

New or old NOCs? I have the new Black NOC deck which is printed by USPCC, but haven't used it enough to notice any wear and tear. The older NOCs were printed from EPCC and I've heard a lot of bad things about them as well; however, I only use NOC decks when performing and all of them are still as good as when I bought them. I cycle through a brick, so perhaps that is why?

At $5-7 a deck, the durability to price ratio is good enough for me.

For big gigs red or blue bikes cause they are recognizable. For practice any deck I feel like using and for walk around or mall I usually use either american flag cards from bicycle because they look nice but still aren't suspicious. Once I get my hands on monarchs or some artisans I will start using those. I will hopefully be getting them soon!

Bring on the haters...but I use the Bicycle Elite's from Penguin. I only use Bicycles when performing for paid gigs. Typically I'll buy the cheap bricks from Costcos as well.

I use whatever is at hand. Since I work for E I have a ton of cards. I haven't purchased a deck outside Kickstarter designs in years.

I think my favorite design is the Shadow Masters Legacy, though.

1. I enjoy using decks that either match my style for the day or a deck that is specific to something I am working on (i.e. if I'm working on my marked deck work, new gimmicked deck, etc.)
2. Hanging out with friends I tend to use whatever cheaper deck I have so that I can really have some fun with tearing cards up, loading cards under/in cups of water, etc.
3. Weirdly I actually enjoy using brand new cards to practice, something about practicing a move from the time a deck is new all the way to when its really broken in gets me both a feel for doing whatever I am practicing with different levels of the deck being broken in, as well as makes it easier for me at first. Obviously if you are doing something where you don't want the cards to slide, an older deck is necessary

I love the feel of the bicycle elites from penguin. The crush stock lets me get a way with some sleights right out of the box without breaking them in.

Shadow masters are still the best Black deck Ive used. I love the finish on the cards.
