Which Book?

Hi All,

I've been looking into getting a pickpocketing book. I know that Ricki Dunn's book is often considered to be one of the best sources on the subject, but how does Jim Ravel's Theatrical Pick Pocketing compare?

Thanks,
Mahu

You may wish to visit Stevens Magic and check out what they have on the subject, they carry several exclusive bits and if memory serves, there is a video series on pick-pocketing techniques.

From what I've heard (and read) the Coats/Byrd series were not very good. As a beginner, I want to establish a solid foundation in the art and then move forward with that. Thank you though.

I'm betting you just looked at the site listings. . .

Did you check with Mark like I suggested? Stevens carries more stuff than most and lots of it is exclusive and for that matter, not available through the on-line listings.

If you can read French you may look up Gerard Majax, he was one of the top Pick-Pockets in the world and for a brief time, the "David Copperfield" of France.
