So yesterday I was doing magic for my grandpa. I decided to do mismade dollar bill. I borrowed his bill, and did the change. He freaked and wanted to see the mismade bill. I showed it to him. He started looking and pointed out that it had different serial numbers...

No...not meaning that the serial number on the mismade bill was different than the one on the bill we started with but that on 2 of the corners of the mismade bill, there were serial numbers (which SHOULD match) but they were 2 totally different.

I was shocked at this....I mean seriously?!

Is anyone elses Mismade bill like this?

haha That's an observant grandpa. My dad's brothers (AKA My Uncles) are just like that. I did a trick where I bent one of their quarters and they said that the year on the quarter was different! It's nothing to really worry about, they're family and care less than the people who know you as "The Magician"

The way mismade bills are constructed will always lead to them being this way. They buy whole, uncut, sheets of currency and then cut them through the center of the bills instead of down the lines. 99% of people won't notice the difference, but every once in a while somebody will see the inconsistency. Don't let it stop you from doing the trick, your grandpa is one of the few that will see the difference in serial numbers.

OK, I just didn't know if I got the one screwed up bill. I didn't worry about it since it was just for my grandpa but for a minute there I was kind of weary about doing that trick any more
