Great method and very well thought out. Michael Ammar's influence is definitely seen throughout the explanation. This is a very clean and effective method that uses NO gimmicks. I like the analogy he uses with the piano. I would always tell those who wanted to know the "trick", that simply knowing that striking a piano key makes the note does NOT make you a musician. He did well to convey that message well.

Well thought out, the routine is well worth it, and he even goes into the history of similar effects. Great work.
Daniel Lenton • United Kingdom • 04/05/13
This is just outstanding. If you're a restaurant magician then this is perfect, considering it's impromptu and not too bad on the angles. I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 merely because I find the last vanish quite inconsistent, but the routine itself is great.
Jared Loi • Malaysia • 03/27/13
Filter is awesome because it's totally impromtu and very deceptive!
Andri • Cyprus • 03/03/13
I love this trick, when I find the opportunity I always do it.
Chad • Pittsburgh • 03/01/13
This is a wonderful illusion. I was a bit nervous at first since I'm not much of a coin man myself, but this ended up going into my act the following weekend. If you know how to do coin/cap in bottle or work the bar scene as I do, you will LOVE this effect. The looks on their faces will just blow you away as well. Clean start and ending. Buy this. You won't regret it!
Jahid • London • 02/12/13
Great effect and very powerful since it relies on ACTUAL everyday objects.
Jonah • England • 02/12/13
The best impromptu trick on theory11! PERIOD!
jonah • england • 02/11/13
The best $20/£15 I have ever spent. Ingenious idea.
Creativity: 10/10
I love how the trick uses a never before known principle with a back story dating back decades with subtleties which give a big impact on the trick, unlike some others.
Effect: 10/10.
The whole idea of making 3 non gimmicked coins penetrate a glass within 3 extremely visual phases with no extra coins, false transfers, no gimmicks, not anything, is incredible! Great trick Rick Lax!
Difficulty: Easy 9/10
This trick is easy to understand and master and takes minutes to practice. The only parts that you might find a little bit tricky is the 3rd phase and some subtleties. Luckily the 3rd phase is easy to modify to your own needs. It's a great trick and great effect.
Teaching: 10/10
Another great download from rick. His humor and great teaching make it a fun video to watch. Rick also teaches how to do it with different types of cup and adds some great subtleties.
Quality: 9/10.
The video quality was brilliant, as always, but the camera was sometimes a little slow so you missed 1 or 2 demos, but that didn't put me off and it shouldn't put you off either.
Overall: 10/10.
This is one of theory11's best releases yet and you should definitely buy it. Thanks, Rick Lax, for another awesome trick!

Wow, just wow. First and foremost, this was my first video ever bought by Rick Lax (also my first effect ever bought as I am new to this), and I was nervous about what I would get. I was taken completely off guard. Rick Lax is an awesome teacher. The video, video quality, and instructions were clear and clean. The effect itself was clean and just amazing. Going to start looking for more Rick Lax stuff now and look forward to more from him.

Cheryl • SIngapore • 01/21/13

Finix chan • Malaysia • 01/20/13
You need to get it! Master this for an impromptu coin peneration effect - reaction guaranteed!!
Lee • Texas • 01/11/13
Fantastic! The history and evolution was great to hear and loved the variations he included for various types of cups!
Tom • Glasgow • 01/10/13
Great effect, easy, practical and astounding. Rick Lax is brilliant.
Luke • Poland • 12/24/12
Okay, here's my two cents on this trick. This one has five stars from nearly everyone who reviewed it. My rating will be no different. The quality of the video (both the explanation and the production) is top notch. I love how Rick shows how the trick evolved. You know you're getting the best version there is. The guy put a lot of effort and thought into creating the trick you're about to download. Trust me, it's worth the price! You'll be performing it pretty fast. The only thing you'll need is the right kind of glass to make it look great. I'm very happy to have purchased this one. Thank You Rick!
Bryce • Colorado • 12/23/12
This trick is amazing! All three phases look great. I've fooled a lot of people with this trick!
Zvi • Israel • 12/20/12
Easy, simple, and awesome! Rick Lax you are a genius!
Anthony • Belarus • 12/15/12
It's LEGEN... wait for it... DARY! Awesome job, Rick!
Jahid • London • 12/13/12
No knacky moves. So easy to learn and gets great reactions because it's done with everyday objects.
Oscar Hernandez • Mexico • 12/05/12
Just one of the most amazing pieces of coin magic ever created! Even for those who are not that much into that particular side of magic, (like me) this will be one of your greatest treasures. The instruction is very detailed and the subtleties included are very useful when performing this effect. This is a keeper!
Arthur • Colorado • 12/04/12
I like Filter. Rick is a good teacher, and the presentation is AMAZING! Not to spoil, but the last phase is very angle sensitive. If you are doing it one-on-one, they are amazed. But if there is more people, then I will revert to one of the alternate phases.
Galian • USA • 12/02/12
Rick Lax is simply a genius. FILTER is an awesome effect and I mean it! You have earned 5 stars!
Finix Chan • Malaysia • 11/25/12
Rick Lax! You are completely INSANE! How could you come out this incredible effect? I dare say, this is the best coin through glass effects I have seen! I love this!
Wes • Ceres Ca • 11/25/12
This is AWESOME! I was doing it right after I got done with the video! Great instruction and other than the coins in your pocket and the cup in the kitchen you get everything you need in the download!
Looks great and very impromptu. I recommend this to anyone that is into coin magic, and even those that aren't! Great job, Rick Lax!
Craig • Melbourne • 11/24/12
I love coin through glass effects because they are the best type of impromptu magic. If I'm able to perform this half as visually as Rick Lax, I will be proud. I'm definitely going to work on this and perfect it because this is one of those memorable tricks that sticks in your audience' minds for months. Great job t11!
John • UK • 11/24/12
This trick is very easy to perform and after about 30 minutes of practice you will be ready to amaze people. It is an extremely clever method and taught in much detail. Another great trick by Rick Lax!
Frank • Europe • 11/22/12
No knacky moves. Can be done anywhere where you have coins and a glass/cup. Looks/sounds amazing. There's really no reason not to get this.
Jakub • Nitra, Slovakia • 11/15/12
Amazing!
Philip Alexander • England • 11/13/12
Absolutely amazing! Beautiful routine and super simple. Rick Lax goes over everything in amazing detail, teaches alternate phases, and shows you how to do it with all types of cups. What are you waiting for? Buy it now!
Ben Goldfein • Atlanta, GA • 11/10/12
Pretty solid routine - I like it. Highly recommended.
Kyler • United States • 11/09/12
I work at a coffee shop and this trick is AWESOME! I use my tip jar instead of a glass and occasionally a coffee mug (Rick teaches a variation for that in the download). It works great for my setting and I'd definitely recommend it for a close-up performer to have in their repertoire.
Tod Waller • Davenport, Iowa • 11/07/12
This coins through effect looks amazing. However I am at once amazed and saddened by the fact that so many people must state that this or any other effect is going to require "practice". As if that should be a negative aspect to an effect.
If you're afraid of magic that requires a little thought and practice there are all kinds of "automatic/self working" tricks and if you want to perform any magic poorly you need not ever practice. I unfortunately know a couple of so called magicians of that calibre and it shows. So by all means let "no practice need" or "no skill needed" be your buying point. You will be disappointed!
Tony • Korea • 11/06/12
Very very nice trick! Thank you.
Antonio Cacace • Naples, Italy • 11/05/12
Only two words to say, just great!
Raf • Italy • 11/04/12
Awesome effect, a beautiful routine for every skill level. This guy always comes out with beautiful ideas (see Vertigo and HighRise), and the explanation is so clean. 5/5.
Zvi • Israel • 11/02/12
A true masterpiece, period. Rick Lax is awesome!
Obsidion • Whiting Indiana • 11/02/12
This is the best coin through routine I've ever seen. Truly mind blowing. This is a must have illusion amongst magicians. BRAVO!
azzkikncards • Philippines • 11/01/12
Very clean coin trick. I can see coin magicians performing this one - cheers to Rick Lax!
Simen • Norway • 10/31/12
This trick is as it is said in the description: the best coin through glass on the market. I think it's brilliant.
It does require a little practice, but when you get it, it's like a dream. Buy this now, I highly recommend it for all magicians out there!
bugboy • New York • 10/30/12
Thank you, Mr. Lax, for allowing me to be entertained for hours on end with only a drinking class and three quarters! This is an awesome routine!
Sam Morgan • England • 10/28/12
I believe this is an awesome effect! Although at $19.95 for what is shown in the video, I believe it is a bit steep. This would have been more suitable on the wire.
Danny Y • Australia • 10/28/12
Nice Trick! Rick Lax has always impressed me with his creative thoughts and practicality of each trick. Very impromptu and very visual to do! Good work Rick!
Extremely impressed! I give this a hundred stars!
Sebastian • Berlin Germany • 10/28/12

Mike V • Bakersfield, Ca • 10/28/12
Pure perfection. Rick has thought out everything in this trick and as always his explanations are very clear. You wont be disappointed with this. Great job Rick. Ihope to see more soon.
Crow • Woodbury • 10/28/12
I contacted Rick Lax and he gave me some information about this effect and after buying it I must say, bravo, Mr. Lax, just bravo. This is visual and audible, and sometimes it is the sound that can sell it more then they sight of it. I love the effect. 5 stars!
Jared Hansen • Gainesville, FL • 10/28/12
I thought I had it figured out and after a thousand attempts I am officially fooled. The last one just slays me so hard!
Patto • Portugal • 10/27/12
Very visual, and totally impromptu. The best coin through glass I've ever seen!
Bryan C. • Sydney • 10/27/12
To perform the phases as stand-alone effects will indeed get great reactions, but to perform them collectively will be an absolute mind-blowing experience for the audience. They will forget that Filter is just some nifty trick but will instead be left with a complete, convinced impression that the performer can actually cause coins to penetrate glass!
A well-thought out gem and a must have in one's repertoire!
Simon • Michigan • 10/27/12
I thought I had figured it out. And man, oh man, I was wrong. Brilliant. Every phase of this routine is well thought out and diabolically engineered to destroy however you THINK it works.
Rick, a masterpiece. I've been looking for a great, practical, visual coin through glass routine for years now. Today, I found it. And it is beautiful.
Justin Flom • Las Vegas • 10/26/12
Rick has been working on this for a long time. The first incarnations of the trick were good, then it just got wicked. You can see how amazing the final product looks.
Rick teaches the effect with several different types of glassware so you'll always be prepared to share this piece of magic. I've seen it fool countless magicians in bars across Las Vegas. Learn Filter and fool the guys in your town.
Geyzer Salgado • Gainesville, FL • 10/26/12
This one requires practice. But the effect is awesome.
Luke • USA • 10/26/12
You need to get it. It's pure visual goodness!
