It's not just a coin vanish - Alex shares principals of his philosophy that can be used to enhance ANY kind of magic. Slow. Delicate. Natural.

Mirage has been one of Alex's signature coin vanishes that he's kept to himself for many years. He's now ready to let you in on the secret, and guide you through each step of the learning process.

Learn several appearances to make the coin re-emerge after the vanish. As a BONUS, learn the Lynel Vanish – a coin vanish from the tip of your finger.

I am very new to coin magic. I bought this trick and I am very happy. The effect is amazing and the way Alex Geiser explains it is perfect. I highly recommend this trick.

This is extremely visual. Completely impromptu and can be done with a borrowed coin. I haven't seen a more visual coin vanish that is 100% impromptu ever! For me personally I found the trick a little knacky and a bit difficult. Apart from that, everything is great and it is NOT overpriced. Get the DVD and you will know. Thanks.

Firstly, I would like to say Alex is a great teacher! I will review this product in detail.

The effect:

As a whole, the effect alone is worth the money simply because all is not shown in the trailer. You learn multiple ways to reveal the coin that are awesome. Alex Geiser goes into a lot of detail teaching this effect to you. It is impromptu, can be performed anywhere and anytime. It is the most visual effect taught out there and it is beautiful. A real piece of art for the magic lover.

Apart from the effect:

Everything that Alex says is pure gold! His philosophy on magic is just amazing! He is my new favorite magician. He explains about performing so beautifully. This is a must buy simply because of what Alex has to say. Let alone the effect itself.

Difficulty:

This was my first coin trick I've bought. It is the first time I have handled coins and thank god I bought this dvd! It is easy and the smoothness with which Alex performs it will only come with practice.

Lynel Vanish:

A great vanish! Looks stunning. Like I said, worth the money.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, this DVD is the best DVD I have bought at theory11! The Lynel Vanish, Mirage and what Alex has to say is well worth the $20. So if you are wondering if this trick is worth the money - YES it is!

I figured it out but still bought it to learn the subtleties. It's a bit overpriced but you might want to get it. Good trick.

This vanish is so visual and looks so real. When I first saw this trick I could not believe my eyes that this vanish is completely impromptu!

This is pretty expensive for a single coin vanish method. However, I would recommend this for any coin workers. This vanish is very beautiful, and his psychology behind the methodology is worth listening. This would be one of your secret weapons.

This is the most clean and visual coin vanish on the market to date!

Good coin vanish, but it's too expensive. It'll require some practice to make it look natural.

It's a cool trick. Some parts are hard, but when you get it down, you will love the trick. I do it a lot because it is so visual effect. It's probably in my top three favorite coin vanishes!

Alex's pursuit of perfection is evident in this beautiful effect in which he uses a coin. There isn't a wasted move. He is very generous with his explanation focusing on performance as well as technique. There is a lot to be learned from his mental approach to magic. Highly recommended, well worth the practice especially for the purists out there. It is not a coin trick but a technique that can be used with other objects to create the same wonderful effect.

I love this, best vanish I've ever seen. Combine this with Doug McKenzie's flicker and you're set.

I was a bit unsure about getting this. But when I got it... BOY this is a good DVD! He doesn't just tell you about how to vanish the coin - You learn about psychology, how to improve your coin work in general, awesome coin appearances. It's fantastic. A beautiful vanish!

Amazing. It's my favorite coin vanish and also can be used as a perfect end for Homer Liwag's coinONE. This is worth your money.

Oh this trick is brilliant. I love it. I was so confident after 5 minutes of watching the video that I went out and performed it. Alex makes it so easy to learn. I recommend this to everyone.

This is possibly one of the best DVD purchases I have ever made. Mirage is amazingly impromptu and visual. Just listening to what Alex Geiser has to say about magic and performance adds so much more value to this DVD than just the beauty of this effect. His insight on the value of performance is simply eye opening. you are only cheating yourself by not investing in this.

Alex is one of my favorite coin magicians, and there are only a few. For those of you who don’t know Alex yet, you will…

Mirage was the first time in 5 years I've watched an entire magic DVD all the way though. If you love technique, creativity, and philosophy in magic, I highly recommend this.

Mirage should not be a $20 dvd. It should sell for no less than $100. Probably much much more.

Brilliance is an understatement! The beauty in this effect is the economy of motion in the vanish. There isn't a non-gimmick vanish that I have seen that gets more fair that this: open hands with no telegraphing moves.

Even if you have zero interest in coin work, it's worth getting simply for Alex Geiser's theory on performance pacing. His advice and wisdom is worth twice of what the download costs. An absolute gem of a vanish and I'm certainly looking forward to seeing more from Alex.

I have been reading a lot of questions about this download on the forums about this product so I would like to clear a few things up.

Yes, this is expensive, considering it is for only 2 moves( if you include the bonus vanish) but oh boy does Geiser go into detail when explaining Mirage. Although you're not left completely clean, Alex does explain a method in which both hands can be shown completely empty and then visually reproduce the coin. The vanish is also pretty easy to do, and I am no coin expert at all, I am just starting out with coins in fact. The move is relatively angle sensitive but the angles can be overcome easily and Alex explains methods in doing so. Also the bonus vanish is stunning but is possibly the most angle sensitive move I have ever ever seen (it does also contain a reproduction) and can only be performed at one angle and to one person (Alex says he has done it to 3 people but I seriously can't see how).

So overall if you are looking for something powerful and impromptu to do with a coin then buy it, although it is a pricey product I do actually think It was worth the money.

Nice and beautiful trick, but you have to be careful with your angles.

Simple, clean, and beautiful. Watching Alex perform this in person for the first time was absolutely amazing. It's not just the effect or the method - it's HOW he performs it that makes it look so damn good.
