Best effect ever! Before I bought this it was hard for me to get the attention of my audience. I literally had no effect that gave the amount of surprise as Thread. Ever since I learned this I leave a spool of Thread in the middle of the stage before my show. I walk on silent and I can already tell that people are wondering what am I going to do with the thread. The method is great. I prefer the non-sleight of hand version because it looks so real. The only downside to this is that your eye is going to be sore after a few performances. Other than that it's a great effect and it always gets a good reaction.

I bought this trick for my son. He loves it. Very well done.

This is a great effect that gets the best reactions. For people who don't think it is safe, I did it about 5 times yesterday and the only bad thing that had happened is my eye is sore and a bit red.

The effect: It is a very clever and fantastic effect. It takes practice to get comfortable with for sure, but the outcome is amazing. Both methods are great! Wayne Houchin is a genius! Although the trick is uncomfortable at first, you do get used to it with practice. Love this trick and I plan on performing it for my school.

There's a lot more to this video than just the trick. Wayne goes into a good deal of detail when it comes to the more theory and performance side of magic, talking about why he does certain things, his character and a good few little stories behind the effect. Not a lot of performers go into these details so I was very pleased to learn more than just the effect. Both methods are amazing, yet simple. I hadn't had the chance to try them out yet because i'm wanting to have everything 100% safe then I will more the gladly freak people out with this amazing effect.

This is an amazing effect. The download teaches two methods, which is good. However, when you first start performing this effect, you are going to have pain in your eye. This does NOT damage your eye in any way. It took me a few performances to get used to it. The set up is also easy to do, however, you may need to practice. Feels very akward at first but after a few performances you get use to it. I like this trick because I can introduce it as more than a magic trick as it's more like doing the impossible. Takes a while to set it up but it's worth it for the reactions you will get!

Thread is one of those effects that is not just a trick. The presentation is so simple but the moment you pull the thread out of your eye, your spectator goes nuts. The quality of the DVD is top notch, so don't worry about that. The trick itself is very simple. So far I have only used the geek method. The geek method will feel uncomfortable at first, but like everything, you will get use to it. I have not had any problems. The sleight method looks almost identical. I have not tried it but I'm sure it would hit just as hard. If you're the kind of person that could see yourself performing this, then I would pick this up. It's very simple and clean. Simple effects are always the best. The reactions are just phenomenal.

This illusion has easily become my most favorite trick I own. It is a beautiful effect. I just did it at college and I got the best reaction I have ever gotten. My girlfriend is now freaked out. Just sheer brilliance. Absolutely love this! So different from any other effects, and with the well taught gypsy thread as an opener...Perfect!

Two methods are shown: Geek and Sleight. People say that the geek is bad for eyes and so forth. It's not. Follow the instructions carefully. It is uncomfortable (about a 3/10 - no worse than the after effects of an eyelash when it has come out). Performed this in various situations, no bad post effects, and it went down brilliantly. Even if everyone is suitably grossed out. Only thing missing is the ditch move. Easy to work out though.

This is a brilliant effect. This is easy to setup, but takes a while to do . The tutorial is very in depth.

An absolutely brilliant effect! Very easy to do and hits hard! One note is that I was a bit hesitant at trying the method at first because I thought it was a little crazy, but once I got used to it I spent literally an hour looking in the mirror seeing how good it looked. Highly recommended.

This trick even fooled my brother who's a doctor - he said it was biologically impossible!
