Thank you Jason for sharing this with us. It really helped me find out what is the best read. I have a few of these already but I will order the rest soon! Download this if you're into cool card tricks from books.

I think that these books are absolute must-haves, and although I wasn't expecting Fine Art of Magic in here, it is a great book. I have all of them, and have read all of them except Fine Art of Magic, I'm currently studying it now, and I really think that you should read all of these books. By the way, ask Jason to make more videos with you, because I enjoy watching him perform and explain the moves.

I have found out as much as I can on these books, and Jason England does an excellent job explaining the books' history, difficulty, and content. Unfortunately, I am only a middle school student and will probably never be able to receive any of these books. However, they seem to be all very good books. Thanks! Goodbye.

How could you not rate it 5 stars? It's free and it tells you how to progress your magic.

I think these are great books. 2 books that caught my attention in particular were Card Control by Arthur Buckley and Expert Card Technique by Hugard and Braue. I researched these books saw that there was exactly the kind of material I am looking for.

Just the kind of info I needed! I already have some of the books, and I'm planning to get the rest of the books suggested. Hope theory11 makes more of these vids.

I own most of the books mentioned above. They are all great and worthwhile to pick up if you want to get better at the art. I am now going in search of the books The fine art of magic and the walton volumes. Though, I feel there was one book that Jason England had left out. It was The Magic of Eddie Fechter by Jerry Mentzer. A great book with powerful and VERY simple material coming from a man who lived performing bar magic, though is out of print and sold by few dealers. That book alone is the basis for my act when performing at the Castle. Anyways, keep up the good work England.

Absolutely great. I am ordering a few of these right away. I have been in card magic for awhile but kind of lost it. And thought to have a look at this. This is great and I am going back to the basics with these books. Thanks Mr. England you are one of the best teachers out there.

1) This video is free, it costs nothing but the time to download it and watch it.
2) It lists the great tomes of Card Magic. These are the go to texts when you need something, when you want to learn something, or don't know how to finish/fix something.
3) There is no 3, you should be watching the video for yourself right now.

Wow, I think this is indeed one of the best releases by theory11. Over the past weeks I was looking for a book to buy and to find new information. Unfortunately i couldn't find any professional recommendations and I am very pleased to see that Jason England made this video with theory11. I was always interested in gambling moves so i would also recommend Card Shark by Darwin Ortiz. Of course Mr. England is talking about the whole card magic category. Anyways, thanks for the video!

I'm sure this video will inspire everyone to go back to the books and remember where all the modern releases came from.

Excellent. I enjoyed Mr. England's presentation and recommendations, and not just because I agree with his philosophy and choices. I would not hesitate to say that most, if not all, producers of modern magic books, & DVD's were heavily influenced by all of the suggested titles. Do yourself a huge favor and download this wonderful gift.
Follow Mr. England's advice, and you won't be sorry. I would also add Greater Magic by John Northern Hilliard to the list. There is a surprising amount of exceptional card material in the book (580 pages of 1000 or so), and a chapter featuring Card Stars of the USA that has very good material. Thank you, Mr. England and theory11.

This is the best video theory11 has come out with yet. If you are interested in magic whatsoever you must download this and watch it. I got the Harry Lorayne book that he mentions a while ago and it's by far superior to anything else I own. I give theory11 major props for doing something like this.
