Man I'm glad you mentioned that because I was tempted to buy it because I know where it would fit perfectly in my act. I already have Anthology and I haven't taken the chance to try it out in front of people yet. I think I will hold off on OSYN until the price comes down. I'm a fan of Mark Calabrese but my budget has to be focused on my show for right now.

Well I'm glad I could help lol and honestly, if you know The Advocate and Jay Sankey's Paperclipped, you can recreate the effect almost exactly. The only difference is that the switch wouldn't be as clean. I really like the cleanliness of the switch and will definitely use his gimmick for when I perform Paperclipped from now on. That bit was definitely not worth the price tag though lol

Geez, I feel like they're charging WAY too much for stuff lately. I was super disappointed that OSYN cost $40, it definitely isn't worth that. ESPECIALLY considering that half the advertised trick relies on Daniel Madison's Advocate. I never liked The Advocate and I kinda felt swindled when I realized they just resold it to me...

Personally, I'm not familiar with any other pocket indexing techniques. Hence, "Advocate" was one of the only thing that Madison put out that was worth my time. With that said, it's still a pain because I have big thumbs. Can you (or anyone) recommend a better index?

Within the last 3-6 months, I bought:

"Mnemonica" by Juan Tamariz
"Mnemonica Miracles" by Juan Tamariz
"Gypsy Queen" by Asi Wind
"Catch 23" by Asi Wind
"ACAAN" by Asi Wind
"13 Steps to Mentalism" by Corinda
"Ping" by Tobias Dostal
"Fair Trade" by Ninh
"Recharmed... I'm Sure" by Lance Pierce
"Double Turnover" by Elliot Terral (just wanted to revisit a basic technique)
"The Memory Book" by Harry Lorayne
"Miracle Math: How to Develop A Calculator in Your Head" by Harry Lorayne
"Bite Out of Quarter" Gimmick by Roy Kueppers
3x Double Decker Phoenix forcing decks (to create Luke Jermay's deck from the opening of his Penguin Lecture)
3x Black Gator Back decks (David Blaine)
5x Gold Gator Back decks (David Blaine)
Blank Back Bicycle Deck
Red/Blue Double Back Bicycle Deck

I know a lot of magicians piss on David Blaine, but it was due to his first show that I became obsessed with close-up/street magic 20 years ago. My Grandpa would perform the Nickels to Dimes trick for me as a child every time I'd go to visit, and my parents took me to see David Copperfield as a kid. I loved magic and David Blaine made me obsessed. I'm not a professional magician (I'm a Nurse, and this provides for opportunities for me to perform); with that said, I don't consider myself to be merely a hobbiest either.
