I know a lot of magicians piss on David Blaine, but it was due to his first show that I became obsessed with close-up/street magic 20 years ago. My Grandpa would perform the Nickels to Dimes trick for me as a child every time I'd go to visit, and my parents took me to see David Copperfield as a kid. I loved magic and David Blaine made me obsessed. I'm not a professional magician (I'm a Nurse, and this provides for opportunities for me to perform); with that said, I don't consider myself to be merely a hobbiest either.
