Sub rosa

SubRosa comes with two decks - a beginner deck and an advanced deck. Use whichever is most comfortable for you. You can also make your own to your own preferences.

What i did was took the aces out of the beginner deck and used them on a normal deck i already had , am i using them right ?

The deck is meant to be used together - the entire deck. Not sure what the point of removing the aces from the beginner deck and adding them to another deck would be, but if the other deck is a matching Bicycle deck then I suppose they would work fine.

If your deck is messed up, that is the best thing to do. The beginners deck looks and is used just like the advanced deck, except it is a different color. If your two decks appear different, then there is an issue and support can sort it out.

With secrecy and all, how would one know if mthier deck was messed up? I am having a really nasty time learning this trick and I want to know if it was me or the deck.

Thanks

If your deck is not as described in the video, then contact theory11 support. SubRosa can be a bit tricky to learn, but once you figure out how to do it SubRosa becomes easy.

I"m a 25 year seasoned card guy; I have no idea what this is... is there any clue as to what kind of effect it can be used? My close up is always standing up; the table is only to put cards down; I don't count on a felt top; so is this something I can use? I'd hate to buy it only to find out I have to have a pad, or be seated, or I cannot come up w/ an effect. Can you help me out? Thanks!

The gimmick is fully contained within the deck. It is not necessary to do it within a certain scenario, though I will say it makes most sense is a gambling routine. If you can find a reason or effect in which you would like to be able to produce 4 of an Ace, King, Queen, instantly, go ahead, but I personally can not think of a single instance where I would use it.

Moderators, feel free to remove this if you feel it is revealing too much (and if so, Sorry!):
It performs similar to a Tapered/Stripper deck, though the gimmick itself is different, and you can do things with this that you can't with a stripper deck, and vice versa.

Watch this episode of Exposé. You'll get a better idea of what you can do with it. Note that this is a tool, not a trick. Just like the pass, or other sleights, the only limit of what you can do with it is your imagination.
