First of all, don't go telling everybody what you figured out. Nobody cares.

Second, if you had even a shred of respect for Danny, you would buy the effect anyway.

Third, reverse engineering is strongly frowned upon. No one can fault you for hearing of a concept and coming up with your own method (Morgan Strebler and Sean Fields both came up with different methods for turning bottled water into mouthwash). But don't sit there and try to be clever by reverse engineering somebody else's work.

But yeah, think to yourself, would you have figured it out without Danny, do you know the proper performance techniques? etc.

I thought I had figured it out but, didn't think I was right so I left it at that.

Then when I bought the download I was very close to being correct, although everything Danny teaches helps immensely. Like Steerpike said if you have a shred of respect for Danny Garcia and magic, you should purchase it.
