1) create a prototype using whatever means necessary
2) fine tune the prototype until you're satisfied
3) take it out in the real world and see if it works
4) refine the performance, routine, and gimmicks for perfection
5) continue to take it out in the real world to guarantee perfection
6) then think about making it for the masses
