what site are you getting these "free" cards from. because some times you can only get one color, or black and white only. also if you are getting a picture, you better get a really good one. also i feel its safer not to get a picture on the card (of yourself) just in case you change your image...

i know sankey sells a bill switch dvd. im sure it has lots of ideas to use with the switch.

get static. that is a great trick and i use it whenever i can. there are many good tricks you can do without gimmicks and i would check out a begginer card book or dvd. i started with born to perform and the tricks they teach are good enough to start you on your way to card magic.

i would use a video camera, if you use a picture camera it wont capture much haha. but really. i dont know much about them. but it all depends on what you can afford and what you want to do with it. flip cameras are nice because they are easy to transfer to the computer and they take nice hd...
